Competition Schedule Announced for The Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show

It’s all systems go for this year’s Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show with a full programme of National and International Dressage and Showjumping running from June 11 to 16.

This year’s show comes back bigger than ever with a schedule set to attract some of the best riders from home and abroad.

To raise the bar of competition, the International Showjumping will feature an expanded CSI 4*.  This will run alongside the popular CSI Amateur series, with classes at 1.15m and 1.25m, open to all British Showjumping members, and with the exclusive opportunity to compete alongside the stars in the Bolesworth main International Arena.

Entries will open shortly and classes will include the new CSI 4* Silver Tour (1.30m – 1.45m), and the CSI 4* Gold Tour, which will climax with the Equerry Bolesworth International Grand Prix on the afternoon of Sunday 16th June.  International Riders will be invited to compete from the end of March FEI Longines ranking list. Any interested riders who would like to take advantage of rider packages that will combine either Amateur or CSI 4* entries with exclusive VIP hospitality, are now invited to apply for an invitation via our office.

Bolesworth will also be showcasing the very best of International Dressage, with a CDI 3* incorporating a small tour series.  National Dressage Classes will include invitational classes at Prix St Georges and Advanced Medium level; Bolesworth will also be hosting the viewing trials for 5, 6, and 7 year olds to be assessed and selected for the FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses.

A packed line up of national classes, with entries open from mid April via the Bolesworth website, completes the showjumping schedule, with Novice classes ranging from British Novice to 1.20m, and including 4, 5 & 6-year-old classes. The future stars of British Showjumping will be able to compete in 128cm, 138cm, and 148cm pony championship classes and with classes for riders of all levels, the 2019 event looks set to be a must for riders, with the added attraction of competing against the stunning backdrop of Bolesworth Castle.

Bolesworth is known for its social scene and this year fans will not be disappointed.

Said Nina Barbour: “We aim to deliver an unforgettable experience at Bolesworth for both spectators and competitors, combining a serious programme of top Sport with a full schedule of live music and entertainment every evening.”
