COACHES CONFERENCE 2012
Thursday 11 October 2012
Whether you are already a UKCC qualified coach or someone wishing to find out more on how to follow a career within the coaching environment, the British Showjumping 2012 Coaches Conference is an event that shouldn’t be missed.
The aim of the conference is for those attending to learn from the experiences of our national team from Chef d’Equipes, Team Selectors and Riders. By the end of the workshop everyone will have had the opportunity to gain an insight into the reflections of those that have played an instrumental role in the delivery of medals for Great Britain within the showjumping environment.
Although drawing on the resource of those delivering the top end of the sport; the focus of the conference will be on how their experience can be used to deliver best practice at grass roots upwards.
There are two workshops before the end of the year, one at Aintree Int’l Equestrian Centre on 31st October and then another on 5th November at Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire. Key individuals such as Di Lampard, Corinne Bracken and Alan Fazakerley will be the lead coaches with World Class recognised riders Matt Sampson and Jemma Kirk, both of whom have won medals at Junior & Young Rider European Championship level.
For BHS Registered Instructors, the conference will be will be accepted as counting towards their continuous personal development (CPD) hours.
There will also be an information point for individuals wishing to find out more about a career path in coaching.
Tickets are available at £20 for British Showjumping members and £25 for non-members. In order to avoid disappointment please confirm your place and preferred venue at the earliest opportunity by contacting Rebecca Turner at British Showjumping on 02476 698828.
