2014/2015 SHOWJUMPING EQUINE PATHWAY VIEWING DAYS

British Showjumping members are invited to present their young horses to the Equine Pathway Team for assessment with a view to joining the Equine Pathway at the following 'Viewing Days':

11 & 12 September 2014 at Wellington Riding, Heckfield, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 0LJ

15 & 16 October 2014 at Hartpury College, Hartpury House, Gloucester, GL19 3BE

18 & 19 November 2014 at Addington Manor EC, Addington, Buckingham, MK18 2JR

15 & 16 December 2014 at South View EC, Wettenhall Green, Winsford Road, Wettenhall, Cheshire, CW7 4DL

13 & 14 January 2015 at Bury Farm Equestrian Village, New Bury Farm, Mill Road, Slapton, Buckinghamshire, LU7 9BT

10 & 11 February 2015 at Wellington Riding, Heckfield, Hook, Hampshire, RG27 0LJ

9 & 10 March 2015 at The College EC, Church Road, Keysoe, Bedford, MK44 2JP

14 & 15 April 2015 at Solihull RC, Four Ashes Road, Bentley Heath, Solihull, West Midlands, B93 8QE


In order to attend the Viewing Days horses must be registered with British Showjumping, be ridden by a rider who is eligible for selection for a British Team (i.e. hold British nationality) and meet the following minimum criteria:

4 Year Olds

Will only be viewed from the 1st September in their fourth year.

Must be able to walk, trot and canter freely forward and jump a 90cms course comfortably.
 

5 Year-Olds

Must be able to walk, trot and canter freely, do a simple change and jump a 1m course comfortably.
 

6 Year Olds

Must be able to walk, trot and canter freely, do a simple change and jump a 1.10m course comfortably.
 

7 Year-Olds

Must be able to walk, trot and canter freely, do a simple change and jump a 1.20m course comfortably.
 

8 Year Olds

Must be able to walk, trot and canter freely, do a simple change and jump a 1.30m course comfortably.
 

*Minimum criteria guidelines must be met unless there are extenuating circumstances which have prevented the horse from competing at the levels detailed above, such as, broodmares who have been out of competition for breeding purposes, horses who have been out of work due to injury etc. If these extenuating circumstances apply to any of your horses, please include a brief description with your application.

Places are restricted and allocated on a 'first come first served basis'.  Maximum 3 horses per rider per viewing day.  Applications must be made in writing to jane.bird@britishshowjumping.co.uk stating the name and age of horse(s) & British Showjumping registration number(s) and the date/veunue you wish to attend.

APPLICATIONS CLOSE STRICTLY 10 DAYS BEFORE THE VIEWING DAY TAKES PLACE, NO LATE APPLICATIONS CAN BE ACCEPTED.

FEI TACK RULES WILL APPLY TO ALL VIEWING/TRAINING SESSIONS
