Worshipful Company of Saddlers Continue Support of British Showjumping in 2017

British Showjumping is pleased to announce that the Worshipful Company of Saddlers will be supporting the sport in 2017 via a generous Training Grant and top quality Equestrian Prizes. The Saddlers’ Company not only strive to back the manufacture of high quality British saddlery, but they also work to promote participation in equestrian sport, with a particular focus on young people and para equestrian riders.
This year, the Saddlers’ Company Training Grant will be used to support the ‘Just for Schools’ programme and the Equestrian Prizes will be awarded as follows:
- A jumping saddle will be awarded to the winning horse/rider (aged 25 and under) combination on the Gold League for results achieved between 1st April 2017 and 30th September 2017 disregarding those riders that have won a saddle as part of this award in previous years
- A snaffle bridle will be awarded to the Pony British Novice Champion and the Pony Discovery Champion at the British Showjumping National Championships
- The National Para Equestrian Club Championship Winners across the following four grades – Grade, I/II/III/IV, will each receive a headcollar at the British Showjumping National Championships
- The winning pony/rider combination from the Gold 128cms, Gold 138cms and Gold 148cms Leagues will each receive a black headcollar to acknowledge results achieved from the 1st April 2017 to the 30th September 2017
- The winning horse/rider (aged 25 and under) combination from the eight regional Bronze Leagues will each be given a black headcollar for results achieved between 1st April 2017 and 30th September 2017
Where the Saddlers’ Company award prizes to riders aged 25 and under, riders will be eligible up to the end of the calendar year in which they reach 25.
