William Funnell wins the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round at Wales & West Shows

The sun shone on the sixty-eight horses and riders competing in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round at Wales & West Shows in Chepstow, Monmouthshire and the win was eventually claimed by William Funnell.

Up for grabs were two direct qualifying tickets for the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show in October and the first two rounds saw competitor numbers whittled down to just six for the final jump off.

Just two treble clears were produced in the final jump off and William Funnell from Dorking, Surrey was the quickest against the clock. Riding Billy Kat, a 7 year-old chestnut mare owned by Billy Stud, William was able to put his foot down whilst jumping with precision and secured a treble clear in 46.96 seconds.

The combinations in third to fifth took home the chance to compete in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Masters at the British Showjumping National Championships.
