Tyne Doyle claims victory in Horseware Bronze League Qualifier at Field House Equestrian Centre

The Horseware Bronze League Qualifier at Field House Equestrian Centre in Marchington, Staffordshire on Sunday pulled in a competitive field of riders and it was Tyne Doyle who jumped to victory.

The focus of each of the fifty eight competitors was securing one of the three coveted qualification spots available for the Horseware Bronze League Semi Finals, which will run in August. Following two closely fought rounds, just fifteen combinations remained in contention for qualification as all eyes fell on the clock to decide the winner as the jump off began.

Tyne Doyle from Whitburn, Sunderland jumped three solid clear rounds on board her own 8 year-old bay mare, Jacarada Hill E. This partnership used their late draw to full effect as they took on the challenge of the jump off and went on to leave all the fences standing for a treble clear in a time of 31.75 seconds.

Scooping up second place was local rider Sue Pountain from Uttoxeter, Staffordshire riding her own 14 year-old chestnut gelding, Sat on a Star. This combination crossed the finish line on their treble clear in 32.34 seconds.

Taking the final treble clear of the class for third place was Jenna Cairns from Macclesfield, Cheshire with her 14 year-old grey mare, Wonderful III. This pair’s steadier approach paid off as they finished in a time on 42.12 seconds to claim the final qualification spot on offer.
