Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Regional Final at the South Western Showjumping Club
Wednesday 04 July 2012

Following a competitive year of qualifying, the seventh Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Regional Final held on Saturday 30th June 2012 at the South Western Showjumping Club in Newton St. Loe, Bath. The Regional Final attracted entries from 14 eligible horse and rider combinations, all hoping to claim their Championship Final qualification.
All of the riders in the Regional Final started with the aim of qualifying for the Tri-Zone Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held at the Victory Shavings British Showjumping Scope Festival (26th August – 1st September 2012).
Of the 14 combinations that started in the Regional Final, three made it through to the final jump off after first having to produce two clear rounds during the earlier phases of the competition.
Of the three combinations, only one was able to produce the all important treble clear required and it was 50-year-old Rosalind Kempe from Taunton, Somerset who eventually topped the leaderboard. Rosalind rode her own seven-year-old, 15.0hh grey gelding, Mount Ross Prince to victory, coming home clear in a time of 47.60 seconds and with this result, she secured her place in the Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Championship Final.
