Tim Stockdale - Injury Update
Wednesday 19 October 2011
British Team rider Tim Stockdale has incurred a fracture to his neck in two places following a fall from a young horse on Monday.
Tim was taken to Shrewsbury Hospital suffering from concussion where doctors later found he had sustained two fractures in his neck. This morning Tim was transferred to the spinal unit at Oswestry for further tests and he is expected to remain there for immediate future.
Tim’s wife Laura said “Tim underwent another full set of tests today when he arrived at Oswestry, the results of which we should have shortly. He has full movement and feeling and is currently on bed rest catching up on DVD’s and daytime television! The number of messages we have received wishing him well has been quite overwhelming and we really can’t thank everyone enough for their kindness.”
British Showjumping are in touch with Laura Stockdale on an ongoing basis. If anyone would like to pass on their best wishes for a speedy recovery or a message for Tim please email us at press@britishshowjumping.co.uk where we will collate them.
