TEAM FAIRFAX CHILDREN, JUNIOR & YOUNG RIDER EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP SQUADS ANNOUNCED

British Showjumping is pleased to announce the Team Fairfax Children, Junior and Young Rider European Championship Squads representing Great Britain at the forthcoming FEI Children, Junior and Young Rider European Jumping Championships, which will be held during the 22nd – 27th July 2014 at Arezzo in Italy.

Children:
Tara Byrtt, aged 14 from Weston-Super-Mare, Avon with Tamsin Conyers’ 12 year-old bay mare Valerie B

Scarlett Charles, aged 13 from Alton, Hampshire with Olga White’s 14 year-old bay mare Murka’s Cherona Z

Will Edwards, aged 14 from Ellesmere, Shropshire with R Candy, a 10 year-old chestnut mare jointly owned by Carl Edwards and Jane Lanni

Jodie Hall Mcateer, aged 14 from Borehamwood, Hertfordshire with her mother Mandy’s 12 year-old chestnut mare Vichy

Robert Murphy, aged 13 from Preston, Lancashire with Del Fuego, an 11 year-old bay gelding owned by Catherine Witt 


Juniors:
Millie Allen, aged 16 from Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland with Senator International’s 12 year-old bay gelding Senator Cantino II 

Amy Inglis, aged 17 from Haywards Heath, West Sussex with her mother Claire’s 12 year-old bay gelding Cupido Vant Schuurke

Jessica Mendoza, aged 18 from Chippenham, Wiltshire will partner Spirit T, a 13 year-old brown mare owned by Sarah Mendoza and John Roberts 

Christie Pritchard, aged 17 from Holyhead, Gwynedd with her mother Tracy’s 11 year-old bay gelding Waldemar

Jake Saywell, aged 17 from Newark, Nottinghamshire with Grand Cru Van Paemel, an 8 year-old bay gelding owned by Rachel Gascoine


Young Riders:
Chloe Aston, aged 19 from Tring, Hertfordshire will partner her own 12 year-old bay gelding Kolibri Classic

Emma O’Dwyer, aged 19 from Churchdown, Gloucestershire with her mother Joanne’s 9 year-old bay mare HHS Nektarina B

Laura Robinson, aged 19 from Northallerton, North Yorkshire will partner 15 year-old liver chestnut gelding, Cree Cruiser, owned by Neal Robinson

Spencer Roe, aged 21 from Lincoln, Lincolnshire will partner Sally Roe’s 11 year-old bay gelding Wonder Why

Chloe Winchester, aged 19 from Eye, Suffolk with her mother Gillian’s 11 year-old bay mare Avoca Valkyrie 

Competition starts on Wednesday 23rd July for all three age groups with Team medals being decided on Friday 25th July and Individual medals on Sunday 27th July.

A total of forty-seven Nations across Europe have been invited to contest the Championships and the British Teams will compete under the guidance of their respective Chef d’Equipe’s, who are as follows:

Children – Clare Whitaker 
Junior – Tony Newbery
Young Rider – Di Lampard 

The British Showjumping youth teams are sponsored by Fairfax Saddles. Fairfax’s primary aim to improve the performance of the competition horse.
