Applications for the 2012/2013 Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme open this weekend on Sunday 1st July 2012, remaining open for entries until 12 noon on Friday 31st August 2012. Applications are invited from riders within the three equestrian Olympic disciplines of dressage, eventing and showjumping and also from para-equestrian dressage riders.
Part of the criteria considered when determining an athlete’s eligibility is that riders must be aged between 15 (16 by 1st June 2013) – 25 years (35 for para-equestrian dressage) and be studying at an organisation based in England. For more information on the selection criteria please click here.
The aim of the Scheme is to assist Great Britain’s most talented young athletes who wish to optimise the effectiveness of their sport and their academic programmes; 2012 marks the start of the tenth year of operation of the Scheme for Equestrian Sport in England.
