SQUAD ANNOUNCED FOR FALSTERBO

The squad that will be representing Great Britain in Falsterbo on the 6th leg of the FEI Top Level Nations Cup series on the 13th July will be as follows:
Oxfordshire based Tina Fletcher with Ursula XII an 11 year-old bay mare jointly owned by Lady Pauline Kirkham and Lady Pauline Harris.
Warwickshire based Robert Smith with his own 10 year-old bay mare Voila IV
William Funnell from Dorking, Surrey with Julie Slade’s 9 year-old British Bred chestnut gelding Billy Angelo
Alexandra Thornton who bases herself in France with her own 10 year-old bay gelding Caballero 84
Essex based Daniel Neilson with Celia Mason’s 10 year-old chestnut gelding Varo M
The FEI Top Level League is a series of eight 5* Nations Cups in which official teams representing qualified nations compete against each other in their teams of four horse and rider combinations. The eight events take place across two rounds at eight of the most prestigious venues competing for a minimum of €200,000 at each. Last year Great Britain finished in 3rd position in the final league standings.

Dublin 15-19th August (17th August Nations Cup)

For 2012 the eight nations contesting the series are Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland.

The Nations Cup takes place on the 13th July at 14:30hrs local time and the Grand Prix on the 15th July at 14:30hrs local time.
