Roger McCrea qualifies for the 2009 Derby House Winter Novice Championship

Roger McCrea from Carluke, Lanarkshire took first place in the Derby House Winter Novice Championship Qualifier held at the Rowallan Activity Centre booking his place in the 2009 Final to be held at the Royal International Horse Show in July.
Roger riding George Babes’ six year old bay gelding Waldemar jumped three clear rounds in a time of 36.31 seconds. Second place went to Caroline Ravenscroft from Widness, Cheshire riding her own six year old dark bay mare Chickadee. Caroline jumped three clear rounds in a jump off time of 40.17 seconds, securing her place in the final. Third place went to Kelly Fitzgerald riding Stanley Brash’s seven year old bay mare Caretino De Reve. Kelly jumped three clear rounds in a jump off time of 40.53 seconds.
