Robert Smith 2nd in the Hoofddorp Grand Prix

Warwickshires, Robert Smith took 2nd place in the CSI 2* show in Hoofddorp, Netherlands yesterday (Sunday) with his own 10 year-old bay mare Voila IV with whom he was recently in the line up with in Madrid.

The Grand Prix which had a total prize purse of €23,000 saw seven clear rounds coming forward for the Jump Off. Only four of the seven managed to produce a double clear with Robert being relegated to 2nd place coming through the finish less than a second slower than Saudia Arabia’s. Abdullah Al Sharbatli and Melodie Ardente.

Relegating Amy Graham and Bella Baloubet into third place with their double clear slightly slower than Roberts it was Charlotte Verhagen and Willmeijn HI that took 4th place.
