Results from the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships 2014

Following on from five busy days of exciting competition at the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships, the new Champions of 2014 have now been crowned. The Championships took place at Aintree Equestrian Centre during the 19th – 23rd November and the results were as follows:

Toni Evans, aged 17 from Southend-On-Sea, Essex won the National Amateur 0.85m Championship on Caramel Twist, a 17 year-old dun mare owned by Kerry Evans. 

The National Amateur 0.95m Championship was taken by 33 year-old Gemma Dickens from Loughborough, Leicestershire and she won the Championship on board Oakley’s Ace, a 23 year-old bay gelding owned by Lesley Dickens.

The winner of the National Amateur 1.05m Championship was 22 year-old Hannah Thorne from Weston-Super-Mare, Avon on her own 18 year-old grey gelding, General Maximus

Katie Shaw, aged 28, from Great Haywood, Staffordshire took the National Amateur 1.10m Championship on It’ll Be Me, a 15 year-old chestnut mare owned by Emma Sargeant.

The Minor Veteran Riders Championship was won by 52 year-old Tracy Wright from Salt, Staffordshire. Tracy was on board her own 13 year-old grey mare, Silva Image

Norman Proffitt from Cannock, Staffordshire was victorious in the Major Veteran Riders Championship on Valentino XIV, a 12 year-old dark brown gelding owned by Nina Emery.
