Regional Development Officer – Northern Region

British Showjumping is pleased to announce that Michelle Clough has been appointed in the role of Regional Development Officer for the Northern region.
Michelle has worked extensively within the equestrian and sporting sector focusing strongly on Development within the Youth environment in addition to also working in a project management role on a number of high profile events, the most recent of which being the Tour de France for Richmond District Council.
Holding a number of sports coaching qualifications, Michelle also has experience of working within a national curriculum environment from the strategic planning of sporting activities through to the delivery of a Paralympic sporting programme.
On her appointment Iain Graham, Chief Executive for British Showjumping commented “We are delighted to be in the position of welcoming Michelle to join our team of existing Development Officers. Michelle has worked within the North region for a number of years, both early on in her career in addition to latterly on the Tour de France and this along with her in depth understanding of equestrianism can only serve to be of great benefit for our members within the region”.
Commenting on her appointment Michelle said “I am thoroughly looking forward to taking up the post of Development Officer for the North in addition to both meeting and working alongside the team of people already delivering showjumping with the region”.
Michelle will take up her position on the 27th August and it is anticipated that she will be actively working within the region from the start of September after spending some time with the team in Meriden.
