PONY RIDERS TAKE TWO OF THE TOP FOUR PLACES IN HAGEN

Sunday 17 June 2012

The pony riders in Hagen once again did Great Britain proud by securing both 2nd and 4th place in the Grand Prix this morning.

It was 14 year-old Millie Allen from Stockton-on-Tees that took 2nd place with her fathers (Peter) 9-year-old bay mare Song Girl. Producing just one of the six double clears of the competition she missed out on 2nd place by just 3/10th of a second to Irelands Paraic Kenny.

With less than 1.0 second between the top four  places competition was incredibly fierce and it was 15 year-old Amy Inglis from West Sussex with Mandy Hall’s 11 year-old bay gelding Nils d’Hurl Vent that took fourth place behind Kelly Jochems from the Netherlands.

Cheshire based 15 year-old Darby Ward with Carolyn Nevinson’s 12 year-old grey gelding Maradonna also secured a place in the line-up finishing in 8th Place. Beth Vernon, aged 16 from Mansfield took 12th place with her mothers (Allyson) 11 year-old grey mare Falaza.
