NIGEL COUPE & GOLVERS HILL 3rd in ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX

Sunday 07 January 2018

It was a 3rd place finish for Nigel Coupe with Susan Simmons 15 year-old bay gelding Golvers Hill in Saturday’s CSI4*  Abu Dhabi FEI World Cup Grand Prix over the weekend.

The Jump-Off had seen thirteen riders come forward from a field of just over thirty starters, with all of them having jumped clear in the initial round set at 1.60m. It was then a further nine clears that were achieved with less than a second separating the final top three placings.  Nigel’s time of 40.69 seconds was enough to see him finish 3rd behind Abdel Said (EGY) and Hope van Scherpen Donder who stopped the clock at 39.91 and Peter Clemens (BEL) with Calvino de Nyze Z who finished in 40.45.
