LAURA RENWICK & OZ DE BREVE TAKE 3RD IN €125,000 GIJON GRAND PRIX

Monday 03 September 2012

Laura Renwick riding Lady Pauline Kirkham and Lady Pauline Harris’ Oz de Breve finished in 3rd place in the 125,000€ Gijon Grand Prix ESP earlier today, Monday 3rd September.

Trevor Coyle with Jubilee d’Ouilly deciding to go for a steady double clear produced the only one of the competition securing them 1st place.   Penelope Leprovost for France took 2nd place as a result of having a fence down in the jump off but putting in an exceptionally fast time of 59.63seconds.

Literally fractions of a second behind her was Laura and Oz de Breve who, having gone clear in the first round, had an unfortunate fence down in the jump off in a time of 59.98 seconds.

London 2012 Team Gold Medallists, Nick Skelton with Beverley Widdowson’s Big Star also secured a place for Great Britain in the line up with their 7th place finish. Having produced a clear in the first round they incurred an uncharacteristic 5 penalties as a result of lowering a fence and incurring a time fault in the jump off.
