Jane Ault & Triomf L are Triumphant in Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round at Highfield Equestrian at Howe

Jane Ault from Larbet, Falkirk produced one of only two double clears yesterday to scoop victory in the Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round held at Highfield Equestrian at Howe in Giffordtown, Fife.

Each and every starter came forward on Sunday with the hope of claiming one of the direct qualifying places on offer for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, which will place at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool next month (18th – 22nd November 2015). 

Five combinations produced a first round clear yesterday to progress through to the jump off, but just two combinations were able to produce a double clear.   

Jane Ault produced the fastest double clear of this second round with Joanne Fairbrother’s 15 year-old bay mare Triomf L. The combination delivered their second foot perfect round in a time of 37.85 seconds to take a clear win.  

The second double clear came from was Clare Pearson from Dalry, Ayrshire and she rode her own 14 year-old bay mare Unni. They left all fences standing in 50.25 seconds. 

Third place was secured by Lisa Hood from Cupar, Fife on board her own 14 year-old bay gelding Crailyn Clover Bay. This combination clocked up the fastest four fault round, crossing through the finish in 39.85 seconds.
