Hannah Thorne scoops victory in Horseware Bronze League Qualifier at Chard Equestrian

The first Horseware Bronze League Qualifier of 2018 was won in fine style by Hannah Thorne on a sunny Saturday at Chard Equestrian in Crewkerne, Somerset.

A competitive field of forty-two riders gathered, all with the hope of securing one of the three coveted qualification spots available for the Horseware Bronze League Semi Finals, which will run in August.

Following two closely fought rounds, just twelve combinations remained in contention for qualification as all eyes fell on the clock to decide the winner from the jump off.

Hannah Thorne from Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset made the short journey with her 10 year-old grey mare, Cinderella, worthwhile. This partnership delivered two consistent and clear rounds to take their place in the jump-off, in which they put their feet down. With a turn of speed that could not be matched, Hannah and Cinderella jumped to victory in 37.85 seconds.
