GREAT BRITAIN DRAWN 1st TO JUMP TOMORROW AT HICKSTEAD

Rob Hoekstra, World Class Performance Manager for Showjumping has announced his team for the 7^th and UK Leg of the Nations Cup at Hickstead tomorrow, the 20^th July.

Great Britain have been first to jump of the eight nations contesting the competition and the team along with their order of appearance will be:

William Funnell, from Dorking with Julie Slade’s 9 year-old British bred chestnut gelding Billy Angelo.

Hampshire based Peter Charles will partner Olga White and Team Murka’s 11 year-old chestnut stallion Murka’s Nevada VI.

Tina Fletcher from Faringdon, Oxon will be joining the squad with Lady Pauline Harris’ 13 year-old chestnut gelding Hello Sailor owned by Lady Pauline Harris.

John Whitaker from Huddersfield with his wife Clare’s British Bred 10 year-old bay stallion Argento.

The venues and dates for the series in 2012 are as follows:
La Baule               10-13^th May (11^th May Nations Cup)
Rome                    24-27^th May (25^th May Nations Cup)
St Gallen              31^st May – 3^rd June (1^st June Nations Cup)
Rotterdam          20-24^th June (22^nd June Nations Cup)
Aachen                 3-8^th July (5^th July Nations Cup)
Falsterbo             12-15^th July (13^th July Nations Cup)
Hickstead            19-22d July (20^th July Nations Cup)
Dublin                  15-19^th August (17^th August Nations Cup)

For 2012 the eight nations contesting the series are Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland.

The Nations Cup takes place on Friday 20^th July and the Grand Prix on Sunday 22^nd July .
