Spectators were treated to a competitive jump off as thirteen combinations made it through from the first round and ten of these went on to achieve a double clear. This meant that the clock was to become the deciding factor in deciding the final line up.

Winning this second round by a clear margin was Emma Shore from Tarporley, Cheshire with her own 24 year-old roan mare Wee Welsh Lady. Emma and Wee Welsh Lady used all of their experience to deliver a fast and accurate round that saw them finish with all fences still standing in 33.39 seconds. This time gave them an advantage of more than four seconds.

Second place went to Hannah Goodby from Onchan, Isle of Man on Monty’s Star, a 22 year-old bay gelding owned by Barbara Goodby. They delivered their double clear in 37.52 seconds to beat the combination in third by just 0.18 seconds.

Sixteen year-old Poppy Fielding from Blackburn, Lancashire finished in third place after she produced a double clear on board Stuart Dean’s 6 year-old bay gelding Billyboy Himself. They finished in 37.70 seconds.
