Fifty-two competitors contested this Dodson & Horrell 0.95m National Amateur Second Round and twenty-four combinations produced the first round clear required to make it through into the jump off. Thirteen combinations went on to produce the desired double clear, but with just twelve qualifying places available, the clock proved to be crucial in the allocation of these.

The win in this second round was taken by 42 year-old Victoria Douglas Jones from Corley, Coventry on Miss Demeanour IV, an 8 year-old bay mare owned by Charles Daker. The combination produced the fastest double clear of the class to cross the finish line in just 30.88 seconds.

Second place went to 48 year-old Sharon Taylor from Dudley, West Midlands and she rode her own 11 year-old bay mare Kiers Rumour. They also produced a fast double clear and they took their place in the top two in 31.18 seconds.
