Keith Shore Wins Ebreichsdorf Grand Prix

Tuesday 07 May 2013

Another GB Grand Prix win was notched up over the weekend by Cheshire based Keith Shore in Ebreichsdorf, Austria with his own 10 year-old bay gelding Mystic Hurricane.

With twelve competitors having jumped clear across the 1.60m course at the CSI2* show, Great Britain had three competitors coming forward.  Joining Keith were Mark Armstrong with Susan Welch’s 9 year-old bay gelding Zagahorn and Geoff Billington with Uppercut II a 12 year old bay gelding owned by Patricia Fraser.

It was only Keith and Mystic Hurricane though that managed to produce a clear in the jump off. Not only satisfied in jumping clear, their round also was incredibly fast stopping the clock at 49.59 seconds forcing others to rush and incur penalties as fences fell.

Relegating the rest of the field behind him with seven of them incurring 4 penalties and the remaining competitors 8 penalties, it was Czech rider Zdenek Zila and Cavalino who took 2nd place.  Third place went to Germany’s Jana Wargers and Manou.  Mark and Zagahorn slotted into fourth place with Geoff and Uppercut taking 5th.
