WEEKEND ROUND-UP 5th – 7th March

British riders have had a good weekend with some good places across some very strong classes.

 

At the CSI3* Vejer de la Frontera show in Spain, Scott Brash riding his father Stanley’s 11 year old black gelding Intertoy Z won the Grand Prix beating Dutch H. Von de Pol riding Abeltje Z into second place by 1.21 seconds. Third was John Whitaker riding Beth Gillespies 10 year old black Stallion Tadmus,

In Portgual, the CSI2* Comporta Grand Prix saw William Whitaker secure second place with his father’s 11 year old bay gelding Sarlino just behind Penelope Leprovost from France with Belle Dame D. The third placed competitor was Herve Godignon from France with Querida Relais Pachis.

 

The CSI 1* Villeneuve Loubet Grand Prix in France saw Daniel Neilson take first place with Lorca de Caryan an 11 year old bay gelding owned by Julie McFarlingbeating V Paesschen with Radiant de Laubert from Belgium into second place and S Delestre with Pearl Harbour du Ty  (Fra) into third.

Helen McNaught won the HITS Grand Prix Round 5 at the Thermal CSI2* W (USA) Grand Prix on Friday, riding Caballo beating S Coulter riding Chalan from the USA into second place by 1.69 seconds
