‘TEAM CHAMPION’ PREPARE FOR ABU DHABI NATIONS CUP

The first of nine competitions taking place at The President of the UAE Showjumping Cup in Abu Dhabi kicks off tomorrow (Thursday) in the stunning setting of the Ghantoot Polo Club.
Great Britain will be represented in Friday’s Longines Nations Cup by Ben Maher and the Quainton Stud’s Robin Hood W, Ellen Whitaker with Steven Whitaker and Dawn Makin’s Equimax Ocolado, Robert Smith with Sharon Baldwin and Raging Bull’s, Raging Bull Vangelis S and Guy Williams with his own Torinto van de Middelstede. The draw has taken place and the British contingent will jump ninth from a starting field of eleven nations.
With over 500,000€ in prize money on offer over the four days of competition, the show has attracted some of the world’s top riders and horses, with Saturday’s Grand Prix boasting a total prize fund of 300,000€.
