Team Champion is off to Spruce Meadows

World Class Showjumping Performance manager Rob Hoekstra has named his team of four who will represent Great Britain in the Spruce Meadows CSIO5* Nations Cup which will take place in Calgary, Canada on Saturday 11th September.
 
The Team is as follows:
Cheshire based Geoff Billington will ride his 2009 European Championship partner Rosinus who produced the first clear round of the competition. Rosinus is a 12 year old bay gelding who is jointly owned by Patricia Fraser and Geoff Billington.
 
Winner of the Hickstead Derby Guy Williams will partner his own 14 year old bay gelding Torinto van de Middelstede. This combination were members of the winning Nations Cup team in Abu Dhabi earlier this year and are one of the quickest in Britain and as a result have enjoyed many top placing throughout 2010.
 
Philip Spivey from Ipswich, Suffolk will ride Tracey Forrest’s 12 year old chestnut stallion Romanov II. This partnership was a member of the winning Nations Cup team in Linz.
 
Warwickshire based Robert Smith will ride the 10 year old bay stallion Talan who is jointly owned by Robert Smith, Diana and Penny Cornish. This combination made their first appearance at 5* Nations Cup level earlier in the year when they were a member of the winning team in Abu Dhabi.
 
The Nations Cup will take place on Saturday 11th September at 13:50 Canadian time with the Grand Prix commencing on Sunday 12th September at 11:30 Canadian time.
