The 2019 Points Championship runs from 1st January 2019 to 31st December 2019

Points Championship is open to Full, Associate or Junior Members excluding any rider listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of 31st March 2019. Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last 10 years, World, European Championships & Olympic Games) are not eligible.

One Point will be awarded where a double clear is shown on the horses/ponies record.

Plus the following points where prize money has been awarded

• 6 Points will be awarded to every 1st place,
• 5 Points to every 2nd,
• 4 Points to 3rd,
• 3 Points to 4th,
• 2 Points to 5th
• 1 Point for 6th & lower

Half Points are awarded to any Table A class (Double Clears =1st).

NATIONAL TEAM COMPETITIONS: 10 points will be added to the people who are chosen to take part and an additional 15 bonus points if they go double clear.

There are 8 Sections to the Area Points Championship,

• Bristol & Somerset Pony Novice
• Bristol & Somerset Pony Open
• Bristol & Somerset Senior Novice
• Bristol & Somerset Senior Open
• Bristol & Somerset Leading Gold League Rider
• Chard Equestrian Bristol & Somerset Academy Pony Rider
• Chard Equestrian Bristol & Somerset Academy Young Rider

(Novice Sections are for Horse/Ponies not to have won more than 699 British Showjumping Points) Novice Horses/Ponies can opt to be in the Open Section if split across the two sections. The Leading Senior Rider Award is for the Rider with the most point, which can be obtained from multiple horses.

The Champion of each section will be awarded a Perpetual Trophy & Special Prize, Second & Third Place will receive a Special Prize; all remaining places will receive a rosette.

A Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the Leading Senior Gold League Rider.

LEADING ACADEMY RIDERS: A Rosette, Special Prize & Trophy will be awarded to the Highest Placed Academy Rider.

We ask that all members that are in contention for the top 3 prizes in each section collect their prizes at from the AGM or send a representative.
