- Hugo James opening introduction and welcome to Dorset members.
- A request was made for area sponsorship and volunteers to come forward to run a Dorset area fundraiser for example a quiz night.
- Thanks was given to Dorset coaches Wendy Foot and Targa Hammond for their continued hard work and commitment.
- Information delivered regarding the success of the Geoff Billington master class and clinic to be held at Kingston Maurward 13th and 14th of February.
- Information delivered regarding the upcoming 2 day camp being offered at the Dorset Show Ground over the 3rd and 4th of April which has been agreed will now be open members and non members of all ages.
- Thanks were given to Helen Newman who implemented a new successful booking system and for her continued hard work and commitment.
- Information was delivered and thanks given to Matt Hoskins for his involvement in in organising the schedule for the Dorset area show being held at the Dorset showground on the 18th April 2018.
- A plea was made to all members to support the show.
- 2017 Dorset prize winners each receive one free class entry to the show
- Thanks was given to Shirley Trim for organising this years prizes and prizes were given.

- Silver Runner up: Daisy Whitfield – Gawgus George
- Silver Winner: Charlotte Lee –Zarina
- Gold Runner up: Yasmin Davis – Zanbowa Z
- Gold Winner: Yasmin Davis – Zilvester
- Shirley Trim delivered the 2017 annual treasurers report and reiterated the importance of members supporting the area show which was poorly supported by members in 2017
- Opening balance as at 01/01/2017 £1092.29
- Closing balance as at 31/12/2017 £1506.14
- Leonie Lightfoot of Chimp management LTD presented a motivational talk on managing our chimp within.
- Final 2 places (1 Horse and 1 Pony) of the Geoff Billington clinic were auctioned by Charles Foot.
